Who am I?

Hi my name is Jackie Mays, I am originally from Texas, however, I just moved back here two years ago after a deplorable time in Ohio.  I say this because I found that the cold weather does not fit well with my love for the sun, that and I detest snow.  This is my first time in Austin, I am from Fort Worth originally.  Politically I am an Independent with Conservative views.  I have no experience in Campaigns and its been a while since I last voted.  I am taking this class because its part of my degree plan.  I hope to get a better understanding of the workings of the US government from this class and I hope to learn the process behind bills and laws being passed through Congress.
